Applications for revolutionary CEV Solidarity Fund now open
News
As announced this past November at the XLVI CEV General Assembly held in Paris and in keeping a key promise that CEV President Roko Sikirić had made through his own manifesto, applications for the revolutionary CEV Solidarity Fund are now open. The CEV Solidarity Fund aims to support National Federations, clubs, and individuals in implementing impactful Volleyball-related projects aligned with the CEV’s strategic priorities.
At this stage, applications are open for Type 1, i.e. for projects lasting one, two, or even three years with grants available up to € 20,000 / 40,000 / 80,000, depending on the selected category. Applicants should submit their projects by March 31, 2026 solely via this link. After a careful and thorough review, results will be announced on May 15, 2026 – and those approved will subsequently get underway on July 1, 2026.
The CEV Technical and Development Department has produced comprehensive CEV Solidarity Fund Guidelines, together with all relevant documents, templates, and FAQs. These resources are available on the dedicated CEV Solidarity Fund webpage, which serves as the main reference point throughout the application process.
To further support all stakeholders, the Development Department will organise a CEV Solidarity Fund Info Day on February 27, 2026 at 10:00 am CET – which you can attend by registering via this link.
This is a truly unprecedented opportunity for National Federations, clubs, and relevant stakeholders to devise innovative plans and ideas to strengthen our beloved sport together.
“The CEV Solidarity Fund represents one of the main pillars of my presidential campaign, as this initiative embodies the spirit of #All4Volleyball – thereby standing for unity, inclusion, and equal opportunities across our continent. The Fund has been designed to provide targeted financial and operational support to National Federations, clubs, and individuals across all 56 CEV Member Federations,” says CEV President, Roko Sikirić. “Its purpose is simple yet transformative: to help Volleyball grow everywhere, by supporting projects that make our sport more inclusive, digital, sustainable, and accessible to all. Therefore, the CEV Solidarity Fund aligns directly with our long-term strategic vision, turning our collective ambitions into practical action.”
Projects supported through the Fund will focus on four strategic priorities:
• Inclusion and Diversity, ensuring equal access and representation
• Digital Transformation, embracing innovation to advance the sport
• Environmental Sustainability, promoting eco-conscious practices
• Grassroots Development, expanding participation and strengthening the foundation of Volleyball across Europe.
Roko Sikirić“Crucially, the CEV Solidarity Fund will operate with full transparency and accountability. Every investment made through the Fund will be visible to all Member Federations, thus ensuring that the process remains open, fair, and traceable. This approach reflects our shared belief that trust and collaboration are the foundation of progress. By investing in our Federations, our clubs, and our people, we are investing in the future of European Volleyball – a future that is stronger, and more united.”
