Dr Varun Suthra pays visit to Volleyball Federation of Montenegro

Earlier this week, The Director of International Relations at Kalinga Institute of Industrial Technology (KIIT) and Kalinga Institute of Social Sciences (KISS) from India, and a member of the Communication Commission of the International Volleyball Federation (FIVB), Dr Varun Suthra, paid a visit to the Volleyball Federation of Montenegro, where he held a meeting with Federation representatives on possible forms of future cooperation.
Dr Suthra was welcomed at the OSCG premises by President Nikola Kažić and Secretary General Ivan Bošković. During the cordial and constructive meeting, discussions focused on the development of Volleyball, international cooperation, exchange of knowledge and experience, as well as potential joint projects in the fields of sport, education, and social development.
During his career, he has held high advisory and managerial positions both in India and Switzerland and has cooperated with members of national parliaments and international institutions. He is recognised for his expertise in the fields of cybersecurity, global policy, and communications governance.
Particular emphasis was placed on Dr Suthra’s role as a member of the FIVB Communication Commission, as well as on his extensive international experience in sport, education, and diplomacy. The interlocutors exchanged views on the importance of sport as a means of empowering youth, promoting gender equality, and inclusive development, in line with the FIVB’s strategic priorities.
Representatives of the Volleyball Federation of Montenegro expressed their satisfaction with the visit and their interest in further enhancing cooperation, while Dr Suthra emphasised his openness to future collaboration and the possibility of connecting Montenegrin sports institutions with international initiatives involving FIVB, KIIT, and KISS.
